About The Position

Requirements

Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years engineering experience, Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year
Advanced knowledge of structural analysis methods for aerospace applications
Proficiency with NX CAD and FEA software
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Effective communication, initiative, and timely task management

Nice To Haves

MS or PhD in a related field
Experience with FEMAP, NX NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and advanced FEA software
Background in high-performance flight structures and high-temperature materials
Knowledge of CMC material systems, damage tolerance, and advanced testing
Exposure to scripting or AI applications in engineering and data science

Responsibilities

Conduct structural analysis on launch vehicle and ground support components using NX CAD and FEA tools
Evaluate damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables for high-performance aerospace structures
Perform specialized engineering tasks, including dynamics, loads, stability, stress fatigue, and thermal analysis
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and detailed specifications
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
