The Stroke & Chest Pain Coordinator will serve as the day-to-day lead for the Stroke and Chest Pain Programs and supervise the development, implementation, accreditation, and organization of the program. The Chest Pain/Stroke Program Coordinator will coordinate the efforts between physicians, hospital administration, and staff while tracking the progress of the program. Responsible for all program management, report generation and review, process improvement, patient satisfaction, facilities review, budget requirements, and administrative activities of the program. Will supervise the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. Data collection, reporting, assessing outcomes, and establishing actions in coordination with the team. Will work closely with nursing leadership ensuring a team-centered approach to care delivery. The Stroke coordinator position is currently responsible for the abstraction of quality data that has been input monthly into a national database. Expected to respond to all Code Strokes within the ED during business hours. Aid the staff in timely documentation and act as a resource for the entire Stroke team. Review the charts concurrently during the inpatient stay to ensure we meet all documentation standards and metrics. Responsible for creating agendas and meeting minutes for our monthly stroke meetings as well. A liaison to the Neurologists and our Neuro-interventionalists. Performs other duties as assigned.
