About The Position

The purpose of this role is to stripe all parking lots at company locations nationwide on schedule. This role involves applying paint or lacquer using striping equipment to parking lots, side roads, and bollards, ensuring compliance with ADA rules and regulations. The technician will examine finished surfaces, verify conformance to specifications, and retouch any defective areas. Responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, preparing surfaces for coating, mixing coating substances, and concealing blemishes. The role requires modeling company behaviors, ensuring guest and team member support, adhering to all rules and regulations, and completing annual striping projects at all company locations within a calendar year. The technician will also perform various tasks to aid daily operations and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
Valid state driver’s license required
Must pass a pre-employment DOT background check, medical exam, and drug screen to obtain a DOT Certified medical card.
Must pass a DOT driving test and have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Conform to all DOT hours of service regulations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
Ability to multitask, manage time, problem solve, and navigate change
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

Current DOT medical card preferred.
Minimum three years’ striping or parking lot maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

Apply paint or lacquer using striping equipment to parking lots, side roads, and bollards
Stripe parking lots in accordance with ADA rules and regulations
Examine finished surfaces and verify conformance to specifications; retouch any defective areas
Clean and maintain tools and equipment
Clean surfaces of work pieces in preparation for coating, using cleaning fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, steam, sandpaper, or cloth
Select and mix ingredients to prepare coating substances according to specifications
Conceal blemishes, nicks, and dents in work pieces using fillers
Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
Ensure all activities follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Ensure completion of annual striping projects at all company locations within a calendar year
Responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations
Complete other duties as assigned
