About The Position

The Striping Operator will operate striping equipment to plan specifications. This role involves assisting skilled workers, unloading and distributing materials, preparing layout areas with chalk lines, cleaning and preparing jobsite areas, operating hand and power tools, directing traffic, using striping equipment and paint, and cleaning the jobsite at the end of the day. The position also includes performing other related duties as assigned.

Prior asphalt or concrete construction job experience preferred.
Three years prior striping experience preferred with asphalt and or concrete striping.

Responsibilities

Assists skilled workers as assigned.
Unloads materials that are delivered such as paint, or equipment and distributes them to appropriate location as identified by supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
Prepares layout area with chalk lines ensuring properly measuring and marking.
Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials.
Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
Must use striping equipment and or paint to create.
Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
