String Teaching Artist
About The Position
18 Degrees is seeking a String Teaching Artist to work at their North Adams and/or Pittsfield sites. This position offers flexible hours, with options for 20 hours per week or a second position with 25-30 hours per week. The role involves teaching fundamental violin technique to beginning, intermediate, and advanced school-aged string ensembles and private/semi-private lessons. The focus is on age-appropriate skill development and building community through ensemble playing. An ideal candidate will have experience with trauma-informed education and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change. Multi-cultural/multi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
