About The Position
Flourish Music Academy, a studio of One Music Schools in Colorado, is seeking passionate String Teachers (violin, viola, and/or cello). The academy is dedicated to sharing the gift of music through an inspiring and exciting environment. They offer benefits, flexible scheduling, and a fun work environment. The administrative team handles all business operations, including scheduling, marketing, billing, and event planning, allowing teachers to focus solely on student engagement. The studio provides a fully stocked incentive store for students, amazing performance opportunities for both students and teachers, and paid ongoing training and career development. Flourish Music Academy offers lessons on various instruments in unique, themed rooms honoring music icons, equipped with new, top-quality instruments and technologies. They prioritize helping students find refuge in music and provide ample performance opportunities like open mic nights, parades, community events, workshops, and two formal recitals annually.
Requirements
- Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to connect with people of all ages and skill levels
- Degree in Music Education or Music Performance
- Must be able to demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill level during an interview
- Must give a minimum of a 1-year commitment to teaching with us
Nice To Haves
- Ability to teach on multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Instructing students for 30 minute lessons
- Assessing new student abilities
- Creating lesson plans
- Preparing students for recitals
- Facilitating student participation in recitals
- Assisting students in reaching their goals for learning
- Communicating with parents/guardians on students progress
