About The Position

This role involves providing VBSS/MIO (Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure/Maritime Interdiction Operations) instruction to the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC) community within the Naval Special Warfare surface mobility community. The instructor will also assist with schedule development, curriculum management, and logistical planning for the Integrated Directorate Training Center (IDTC). Additionally, the role includes providing liaison support with NSWG4 (Naval Special Warfare Group Four) and other Special Operations entities to identify and integrate emerging technologies into the SWCC IDTC.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience within the last ten years as a Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC).
  • Achievement of SWCC Senior qualification in accordance with COMNAVSPECWARGRUFOURINST 3120.3E.
  • SWCC Senior qualification must not have been removed for administrative or disciplinary reasons.
  • 5 years’ experience as a NAVY/NSW Instructor.
  • 2 years’ experience in NSW Combatant Craft Strike Phase execution.
  • Familiarity with VBSS/MIO Operations.
  • Familiarity with Insert/Extract operations.
  • Familiarity with Combatant Craft specific SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide VBSS/MIO instruction to SWCCs within the Naval Special Warfare surface mobility community.
  • Assist with schedule development, curriculum management, and logistical planning for the IDTC.
  • Provide liaison support with NSWG4 and other Special Operations entities to identify and integrate emerging technologies into the SWCC IDTC.
  • Support or augment active-duty training cadre with subject matter expertise, echelon IV level combat systems integration efforts, scheduling/planning, and classroom instruction.
