About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to manage the Streets Division, Sign Shop, and Vehicle and Equipment Service Center. This role is crucial for ensuring City infrastructure, streets, signage, right-of-way areas, vehicles, and equipment are maintained to high standards and remain in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Graduation from a regionally accredited four-year institution of higher learning with a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field. Direct full-time job-related professional experience of six (6) or more years may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in municipal public works management or closely related industry.
Possession of a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
Possession of a valid Class B CDL license or obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before employment.
Willingness to work on the On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to work snow routes that include twelve (12) hour shifts during the months of November through March.
Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility assessment.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing written communications or technical documentation.
Municipal inspection/observation experience.

Responsibilities

Manage Streets Division operations, including pavement and right-of-way maintenance, mowing, snow and ice control, and drainage system maintenance.
Oversee Sign Shop operations, including the printing, construction, placement, and maintenance of road signs throughout the City.
Manage Vehicle and Equipment Service Center operations, ensuring City vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
Provide staff supervision, project coordination, process improvement, and respond to operational needs throughout the City.
