We are looking for a Streets Crew Leader to oversee daily street maintenance and repair activities while working alongside crew members in the field. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe roads, drainage systems, sidewalks, and public spaces throughout the community. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who values safety, takes pride in quality work, and can motivate others to get the job done right.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
At least four years of experience in public works, street maintenance, construction, or a related field.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Strong knowledge of roadway maintenance, drainage systems, and equipment operation.
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading or directing a work crew is preferred.
CDL is preferred or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a crew performing street, sidewalk, and drainage maintenance.
Assign daily work tasks and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Repair potholes, road surfaces, curbs, sidewalks, and other public infrastructure.
Maintain drainage systems, including ditches, culverts, and catch basins.
Install and repair street signs, traffic control devices, and pavement markings.
Operate and assist with equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, skid steers, and other construction equipment.
Inspect tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
Train crew members on safe work practices and proper equipment operation.
Respond to emergency situations, weather events, and after-hours callouts when needed.
Complete daily reports, work orders, and other required documentation.
