About The Position

C&S Sweeping Services, Inc. is seeking CDL Class A or B Street Sweeper Drivers for our NIGHT shift at our Phoenix location. We operate a variety of equipment serving multiple industries including road construction, municipal contracts, commercial properties, parking lots, highways, and large debris removal projects. Drivers must be flexible and willing to operate different types of equipment and work on various contracts as business needs dictate. Assignments may include Street Sweepers, Large Debris Trucks, Dump Trucks, and Water Trucks. Drivers may also be required to perform duties outside of the vehicle, such as removing debris, assisting with cleanup, operating backpack blowers, performing light manual labor, and other job-related tasks as directed by management. We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service, who enjoy driving and working independently.

Requirements

Valid Arizona CDL Class A or B drivers license (without air brake restriction).
Acceptable driving record for the last 39 months.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Ability to communicate, read, and understand English.
Reliable mobile phone and dependable transportation to work.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules as required by operational needs.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen prior to hire.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to enter and exit vehicles multiple times throughout a shift.
Ability to work safely around moving vehicles, construction equipment, and mechanical parts.
Willingness and ability to perform light manual labor, remove debris, and operate backpack blowers and other equipment as required.
Adherence to all Company and Client safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

One year of CDL driving experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
Mechanically inclined.
Water Truck Operations (Tanker Endorsement Required).
Dump Truck Operations (Previous Experience Preferred).

Responsibilities

Operate Street Sweepers, Large Debris Trucks, Dump Trucks (qualified drivers), and Water Trucks (qualified drivers).
Perform duties outside of the vehicle, including removing debris from roadways and job sites.
Assist with cleanup activities.
Operate backpack blowers and other hand-held equipment.
Perform light manual labor.
Assist with other job-related tasks as directed by management.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT standards.
Perform minor equipment repairs and troubleshooting after training.
