About The Position

SCA is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver Helper to assist with roadside maintenance and litter removal services. This role supports sweeper truck operations by ensuring roadsides remain clean and debris-free. Work will primarily take place at night along interstate routes. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a strong attention to detail, and is comfortable performing physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is vital to keeping our service areas clean and safe for the public.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working outdoors preferred
Ability to follow directions and read maps
Must pass and maintain a drug-free status (pre-employment and random drug screenings)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
Moderate physical activity including reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping
Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent walking, bending, and stair climbing

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with assigned route duties
Perform roadside litter and trash removal in front of the sweeper truck
Complete all assigned jobs within the scheduled time frame
Maintain high standards for cleanliness and quality of work
Use extra caution during nighttime and inclement weather conditions
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or driver
