About The Position

The City of Beverly Hills is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Street Maintenance Technician to fill multiple vacancies in the Public Works Department’s Street Services Bureau. Under the supervision of the Street Maintenance Supervisor, incumbents will perform journey-level duties in the maintenance and repair of City infrastructure and amenities, including streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, parking lots, waterways, storm drains, and alleys. Incumbents will also generate, fabricate, and install street and informational signage; apply street markings, legends, striping, lines, and directional messages on City streets; and perform concrete finishing work. The ideal candidates will have experience performing concrete and asphalt work in connection with the maintenance and repair of city streets and related infrastructure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience performing skilled maintenance and construction work related to City streets and infrastructure.
• Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license at date of hire.
• Possession of a valid Class "B" driver's license by completion of probation is required.
• Failure to maintain either license may result in appropriate action, up to and including separation from City service.

• Salary and Benefits $76,139.04 - $94,322.52 Annually
• This position is represented by the Municipal Employer's Association and is covered by the negotiated terms and conditions of that Association's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
