Program Managers (Maintenance Supervisor II) are an essential part of the Maintenance Operation’s divisions. A Maintenance Supervisor II position in Operations Division, Street Cleaning section is required to plan, organize, evaluate and manage all programs and sweeping routes for planned and unplanned maintenance, seasonal maintenance, including leaf day program and elimination of hazards as reported by the public. An emphasis on equity analysis utilizing geospatial information systems is required to ensure program delivery is represented throughout each council district. The Operations Section cleans streets and right of way by methods that include street sweeping, mowing, brush cutting, herbicide spraying, bike lane sweeping, street flushing, graffiti abatement, bridge and overpass cleaning, deicing, and plowing. Other duties for this Section include managing the Leaf Day program, cleaning before/during/after major events such as the Rose Festival and responding to emergency calls around the city to clear the right-of-way of various debris. This role is mission-critical and essential to accomplish the increased dynamic workload successfully and efficiently.
