Stream Cleaners & Supervisor - Seasonal
About The Position
The Town of Burlington is seeking Stream Cleaners to perform a variety of manual stream cleaning and land management tasks, as well as a Stream Clean Supervisor to oversee a small stream cleaning crew. Requires an interest in natural resource issues and a willingness to work outdoors in most weather. The Conservation Department is seeking team members to perform manual stream cleaning (walking streams to remove debris and blockages), assist with trail maintenance projects, and carry out other land management tasks. The Conservation Department is also seeking a supervisor to oversee a small stream-cleaning crew and daily operations. Responsibilities include planning work schedule and access, purchasing supplies and equipment, and maintaining records of hours and activities. MA General Laws mandate that any individual having direct contact at any time with either children or senior citizens be subject to CORI screening by the Criminal History Systems Board. Any conditional offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory CORI results.
