About The Position

As a Strategic Advisor - Professional Associate Director, you will provide subject matter expertise in support of multiple client engagements. You will develop and review presentations, briefings, memos, and reports. You will present during meetings, summits, and working sessions with senior client executives. You will also facilitate workshops, strategy sessions, and tiger teams. You will discuss and develop solutions with client service teams and existing/new clients. Additionally, you will identify policy, program, and/or business problems in client organizations and support new business capture from sourcing through award/close. You will perform research on key accounts and client leadership to effectively qualify and scope new business opportunities. You will actively engage within target accounts and relevant markets to stay current on existing and new trends, problem areas, or other issues that develop into new requirements and growth opportunities. You will consistently and systematically initiate client discussions, pursue new relationships, and maintain existing relationships. You will understand client business issues and match them to the firm’s capabilities, identifying new opportunities to support client organizations. You will support the development of proposals, white papers, and thought leadership. You will serve as the primary coordinator and trusted advisor for a portfolio of pilot projects, bringing together public health agencies, CDC, National Partners, intermediaries, implementation teams, and evaluation partners to advance pilot design, implementation, and scaling. You will facilitate stakeholder engagement, guiding charter development and scoping activities, tracking outcomes and evaluation requirements, supporting cross-organizational collaboration, and ensuring lessons learned are documented for broader adoption.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • TEN (10) or more years of experience managing large and complex public health programs, including experience working with or within a federal or state public health agency.
  • Recent experience working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
  • Knowledge of federal government budget planning, execution, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated ability to make difficult concepts easy to understand.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated facilitation experience/certification.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment.
  • Possess an acute awareness of organizational cultures and political savvy.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with senior executives.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with an active Public Trust or suitability are preferred.
  • Advanced degree.
  • FIFTEEN (15) or more years of experience managing large and complex public health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key relationship manager and facilitator across public health projects, project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and partner organizations, acting as a neutral convener to move work forward.
  • Support evaluation, reporting, milestone tracking, and measurement of project outcomes.
  • Capture lessons learned and help develop reusable playbooks, guidance, and sustainability plans to support scaling across jurisdictions.
