Strategy & Planning Associate

TuroSan Francisco, CA
$108,000 - $135,000Hybrid

About The Position

Turo is entering an exciting new chapter of growth, and we're building the operational foundation to support it. We're looking for a sharp, highly organized, and intellectually curious Strategy & Planning Associate to join our Strategy & Planning team and help keep the engine running. This is a high-exposure, high-impact role for an early-career professional who wants to sit at the center of a fast-moving strategy team. You'll own the operational mechanics that make the team hum—business reviews, planning calendars, cross-functional coordination, and event logistics—while developing the analytical and strategic skills to grow into increasingly senior work over time. You'll work directly with the Director of Strategy & Planning and senior team members, getting a front-row seat to how company-level strategy gets made, measured, and executed.

Requirements

  • 0–3+ years of professional experience; recent graduates welcome
  • Exceptional organizational skills—you manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Executive-ready communication, both written and verbal—your materials are clear, polished, and error-free
  • Strong analytical baseline—comfortable in Excel/Sheets; SQL experience or willingness to learn is a plus
  • Sharp business acumen and genuine curiosity about how companies operate and perform
  • High attention to detail, paired with good judgment about what matters most
  • Proactive and self-directed—you anticipate needs, flag issues early, and don't wait to be told what to do
  • Collaborative and low-ego—you build trust quickly and work well across levels and functions
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrates Turo's values through work product and day-to-day team interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or work experience in a fast-paced environment (consulting, finance, operations, tech, or similar) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own the mechanics of the team's weekly business review: build and distribute agendas, compile performance inputs, maintain the WBR deck, and ensure the right people have the right information ahead of each meeting.
  • Partner with the Director and senior team members to maintain execution velocity on complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams — coordinating across leadership groups, removing scheduling friction, and ensuring critical work doesn't slow down due to coordination gaps.
  • Support the logistics and design of the annual planning summit, including venue coordination, agenda and workshop design, and stakeholder scheduling.
  • Run recurring analyses to help the team understand performance drivers in various parts of the business.
  • Keep the team's project tracking current and consistent, ensuring action items are assigned, deadlines are tracked, and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Partner with the team to identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring workflows using AI tools

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, equity, benefits, and perks for all full-time employees
  • Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (Country specific)
  • Retirement employer match
  • Learning & Development stipend to invest in your professional development
  • Turo host matching program
  • Turo travel credit
  • Cell phone and internet stipend
  • Paid time off to relax and recharge
  • Paid holidays, volunteer time off, and parental leave
  • In-office lunch, office snacks, and fun activities (for in-office or hybrid employees)
