About The Position

Avison Young is seeking a Strategy Manager to join its global Strategy team during a period of continued growth and evolution. This role sits at the center of the firm’s most important strategic initiatives and offers direct exposure to executive leadership, including regular interaction with the Chief Strategy Officer and C‑suite. The Strategy Manager will support and execute high‑impact initiatives aligned with Avison Young’s global strategic plan, including growth investments, M&A evaluation, expansion into new services or geographies, and firm‑wide operational initiatives. This role combines rigorous financial and strategic analysis with project management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategy, consulting, or finance professional seeking to apply their skill set within a global professional services organization and gain visibility into enterprise‑level decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field required.
  • 4–7 years of professional experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related analytical role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in professional services or real estate is a plus, but not required.
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage analytical projects and workstreams supporting firm-wide strategic priorities, including growth initiatives, investments, and operational improvements.
  • Support the evaluation of M&A opportunities, recruiting investments, partnerships, and expansion into new services or geographies aligned with Avison Young’s global strategy.
  • Perform detailed financial and operational analysis, including data gathering, modeling, validation, and interpretation of results.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, investment analyses, due diligence materials, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Support transaction due diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors, and assist with transition and integration planning as needed.
  • Track and report on strategic initiatives and investment activity against key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to projects focused on improving operational efficiency and scalability across a growing, multi-market platform.
  • Prepare clear, concise presentation materials for senior management, Executive Committee, and, as appropriate, the Board of Directors.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders, Principals, and Managing Directors across regions and service lines, building strong, collaborative working relationships.
  • Support ad‑hoc strategic initiatives such as business planning, recapitalization analysis, and development and reporting of firm-wide metrics.
