About The Position

The Strategy Intern, Evidence Generation, will support the development of Therakos' enterprise-wide evidence generation strategy by conducting structured literature reviews, evidence landscape assessments, and gap analyses across key therapeutic areas and evidence domains. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders from Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Clinical Development the intern will help identify evidence gaps, evaluate current evidence assets, and support the creation of an IEGP designed to prioritize future research investments. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to strategic evidence planning, medical affairs strategy, HEOR, real-world evidence (RWE), publication planning, and portfolio-level decision making. The intern will contribute to a high-visibility initiative intended to create a single enterprise view of evidence needs, priorities, and dissemination opportunities across Therakos.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment (or recent graduate) in a graduate-level program including: PharmD, PhD, MPH, MS (Life Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Outcomes, Public Health, or related field), MBA with science undergraduate degree
  • Strong scientific literature review and critical appraisal skills
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, or similar scientific databases
  • Experience with evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, or health outcomes research
  • Coursework or experience in Medical Affairs
  • Coursework or experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
  • Coursework or experience in Epidemiology
  • Coursework or experience in Evidence-Based Medicine
  • Coursework or experience in Literature Review Methodology

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews across prioritized Therakos therapeutic areas
  • Evaluate current evidence across clinical, health economic, patient-reported, real-world, and scientific domains
  • Develop structured evidence inventories and evidence maps
  • Summarize key findings, trends, and unmet evidence needs
  • Identify evidence gaps across the treatment journey, stakeholder needs, and strategic objectives
  • Assess evidence maturity and strength within key disease states
  • Support development of gap frameworks aligned with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and HEOR priorities
  • Document areas of duplication, underinvestment, and future opportunity
  • Assist in creation of an IEGP
  • Contribute to prioritization exercises evaluating impact, feasibility, and strategic importance of evidence gaps
  • Support development of evidence-generation recommendations for future studies and research initiatives
  • Help align identified gaps to potential evidence-generation mechanisms including: Clinical Development activities, Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR), External Collaborative Research (ECR), HEOR studies, RWE studies, Publication initiatives
  • Create executive-ready presentations and evidence summaries
  • Develop visual evidence maps and gap-analysis tools
  • Maintain literature databases and source repositories
  • Support preparation of Steering Committee materials and stakeholder updates
  • Participate in interviews and workshops with key internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Clinical Development teams
  • Incorporate stakeholder perspectives into evidence-gap assessments
  • Present interim findings and final recommendations to leadership
