About The Position

The Business Strategy & Analytics team utilizes data to inform and empower the organization to make more structured decisions to benefit our fans and community. We do this through a focus on strategic planning, project execution and continuous business optimization. The Manager, Strategy & Insights will drive key strategic projects through analysis, insights development and project management. This new role will drive significant pieces of large-scale projects and drive smaller-scale projects end-to-end. You will work with key stakeholders across the organization and bring a rigorous, analytical and structured approach to high-impact initiatives. You will help translate insights into action — shaping how the organization operates, engages with fans, and grows. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical expertise, problem solving, strategic thinking and effective communication skills. This position reports to the Director of Strategy & Insights and will work with stakeholders across the Baltimore Ravens business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in consulting, finance, strategy, business operations, analytics roles or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience building excel-based analyses
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame business problems and clearly present recommendations
  • Proactive, adaptable and resourceful self-starter who can work within set objectives, develop outputs independently before requiring assistance and consistently meet deadlines
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Proficiency in crafting succinct, compelling presentations & documentation for diverse audiences
  • Bring the story of the business to life, delivering executive-ready presentations with a cohesive narrative
  • Team first, positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Ability to build detailed project plans, support task execution and bring stakeholders of various operational & technical backgrounds together to drive projects to completion
  • Translate complex data and strategic findings into clear, compelling narratives to support senior-level decision-making
  • Business acumen & understanding of key functions such as sales, marketing, operations, finance, etc.
  • Understanding of financial principles/techniques of financial analysis
  • Organized and resourceful with great attention to detail
  • Brings a servant-leader mentality and ability to build trust-based relationships within the team and across the organization
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking & analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex issues
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays & special events, as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in sports is not required

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Analysis & Research
  • Conduct rigorous analyses, including market assessments, financial modeling and scenario planning to inform key decision-making
  • Gather data and present appropriate analysis to support essential business functions
  • Ability to understand implications of analysis and probe deeper when confronted with inconsistent or insightful findings
  • Provide concise, proactive, timely analyses & insights to drive business decisions
  • With the support of our data analytics team, analyze data from disparate sources, using various quantitative & qualitative methods to inform decision-making and support key strategic initiatives

  • Insight Development & Storytelling
  • Draw insights and conclusions from analysis with clear visualization and communication
  • Structure presentation, documentation and project updates with meaningful recommendations to various levels of stakeholders from project lead to C-Suite
  • Develop high-quality presentations and briefing materials for a variety of audiences
  • Fan Growth & Consumer Insights
  • Gather, validate and synthesize fan data from multiple sources
  • Support execution of fan-focused research initiatives, including planning, administering and analyzing year-round fan surveys
  • Conduct research and work with relevant stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities to drive profit growth, improve processes & elevate the fan experience
  • Strategic Project Management & Problem Solving
  • Manage the ongoing tracking of strategic projects
  • Articulate and communicate progress against objectives and key metrics to develop cross-functional alignment and accountability
  • Proactively support in solving problems that arise during project execution, ensuring timely resolution and escalations to senior stakeholders where appropriate
  • Serve as a thought partner to various departments, helping to structure ambiguous problems and identify actionable solutions
  • Support the development, communication and implementation of the Baltimore Ravens strategy
