We're looking for a Strategy Director who serves as the voice of the consumer, translating business objectives, marketplace dynamics, cultural trends, and audience insights into actionable brand and communications strategies. The ideal candidate is an insightful strategist, confident client counselor, and inspiring storyteller who can connect consumer behavior, data, culture, and business objectives to create marketing solutions that drive measurable business results. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, communications planning, account planning, brand planning, product marketing, or a related strategic discipline.
  • Agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing brand positioning, messaging frameworks, customer journeys, and integrated communications strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead strategic conversations with confidence.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, audience insights, research, business and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, research, and business objectives into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Expertise in omnichannel marketing.
  • Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proven success working working across multidisciplinary teams and agency disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with research methodologies, audience intelligence tools, analytics platforms, and consumer insight resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of brand, communications, and go-to-market strategies across key client accounts.
  • Partner with clients to identify growth opportunities and solve complex business challenges through strategic marketing solutions.
  • Develop brand and product positionings, messaging frameworks, audience strategies, and value propositions.
  • Guide strategic planning efforts from insight development through activation, optimization, and measurement.
  • Champion innovative thinking and strategic frameworks that strengthen business performance and brand relevance.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer by leveraging research, data, and audience insights to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct market assessments, audience segmentation, competitive analyses, and category landscape reviews.
  • Identify emerging cultural, consumer, and industry trends that create opportunities for brands to connect with audiences.
  • Work hand in hand with marketing science team to recommend research methodologies, craft guides, help facilitate research, and shape takeaways.
  • Translate insights into compelling strategic narratives that inspire creative development and innovation.
  • Monitor marketplace dynamics and competitive activity to uncover risks, opportunities, and areas for differentiation.
  • Work closely with Communications Planning team to define the role of each channel within the customer journey and broader communications ecosystem.
  • Ensure messaging is optimized across touchpoints while maintaining a consistent brand story.
  • Collaborate with media, analytics, account, and creative teams to maximize campaign effectiveness and business impact.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations with confidence, clarity, and compelling storytelling.
  • Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and strategic discussions that drive alignment and action.
  • Translate complex business challenges, data, and research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with creative, account, media, analytics, and production teams to develop breakthrough ideas and integrated campaigns.
  • Provide strategic direction that elevates creative thinking and ensures work is grounded in consumer insight.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, award submissions, case studies, and agency best practices.
