Strategy and Business Operations Principal - Rovo and AI
About The Position
Atlassian is seeking a Principal in Strategy and Business Operations to partner directly with its Rovo and AI organization, the central AI platform team building foundational infrastructure for the Future of Teamwork across Atlassian’s Collections. This includes developing best-in-class context and intelligence to support agents and people, using a range of AI models to deliver quality, performance, and cost within Atlassian’s apps. The Strategy & Business Operations team works closely with business leaders across Atlassian to drive strategy, growth, and business operations. In this role, you will own projects from inception through execution and delivery, develop creative strategies and high-quality recommendations, steward business performance against strategies, and identify what is and is not working. You will support Rovo and AI leaders in a fast-moving environment focused on transformative technology.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the high-growth software or technology industry in business operations and/or consulting or investment banking roles.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a structured approach to decision-making.
- Strong executive presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use a range of AI tools to materially accelerate your own work.
- Deep sense of ownership and a desire to work independently.
- Intellectual curiosity and genuine excitement about technology.
Responsibilities
- Map fast-moving innovations in AI to their impacts on company-wide priorities and roadmaps.
- Drive strategic, data-driven decision-making through thorough analysis, research, and insights.
- Lead and manage operational processes for long-range planning, short- and medium-term plans, and OKRs or other outcome-measurement frameworks.
- Own and drive business reviews to inform Rovo and AI leaders and Atlassian’s executive team about progress against operational plans and the health of key business drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, sales, marketing, data science, and finance teams.
- Own projects from inception through execution and delivery, and steward business performance against strategies.
