About The Position

The Strategist delivers consultative and analytical services in support of site, shield and departmental strategies as well as broader corporate priorities, working both independently and under the direction of a manager, director or chair. Accountable for ensuring deliverables are met and outcomes achieved across assigned projects. Partners with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, challenge the status quo and implement solutions that advance organizational priorities. Translates analysis and insights into strategic recommendations that inform planning and align with the long-term strategic plan. Builds and sustains strong relationships with internal and external partners, serving as a change agent who champions agile thinking and empowers teams for success. Demonstrates excellence in financial acumen, business and strategic planning, and both written and verbal communication. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: strategic intelligence, strategic planning, strategy development, client services, business or management consulting, project management, operations, market analysis or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare policy and payer systems.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Able to build and sustain effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Applies financial and business acumen to develop viable strategies and pragmatic operating plans.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, consensus-driven environment that expects and promotes teamwork.
