About The Position

The Principal Benefits & Protection business is seeking a Content Marketing Strategist to help drive business growth through strategic content creation, campaign activation, and development of customizable content solutions. In this role, you'll blend creativity, marketing strategy, and technology to create compelling content that engages audiences. You'll partner across marketing, compliance, product, and business teams to develop integrated campaigns, create audience-focused content, and optimize how content is delivered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications, or content strategy.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic content and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using data and analytics to measure content performance and drive recommendations.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and other content creation tools.

  • Experience with content delivery platforms such as Seismic LiveDocs.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for marketing technology, content management systems, and digital enablement tools.
  • Experience working with marketing content platforms and processes.
  • Understanding of Principal products, distribution channels, and customer segments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategies that support business priorities, product initiatives, and audience engagement goals.
  • Create innovative and compelling content across multiple channels, including: brochures, presentations, websites, email, social media, mobile and digital marketing platforms.
  • Translate complex business, financial, and technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging marketing content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, marketing objectives, and audience needs.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and provide constructive feedback to maintain content quality and consistency.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues and business stakeholders to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across print and digital channels.
  • Develop content and campaign tactics designed to generate awareness, engagement, demand, and positive customer experiences.
  • Support campaign activation efforts by delivering content that differentiates Principal products, services, and capabilities.
  • Balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and business objectives.
  • Serve as a key resource for the team's content delivery technology, particularly Seismic.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize customizable Seismic LiveDocs content that improves user experience and creates efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable, user-friendly content solutions that meet business needs.
  • Utilize audience insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance data to inform content recommendations and strategy.
  • Analyze content performance and campaign results to identify opportunities, measure effectiveness, and recommend future actions.
  • Operate within established marketing, compliance, and business processes while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively manage project workflows using tools such as Wrike and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams.
