About The Position

JRC is seeking a Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Test Manager to provide program management support, working closely with the Strategic Systems Program office. This position, reporting to JRC’s Systems Engineering and Integration Division, supports the U.S. Navy’s COLUMBIA Program. The role requires close coordination with home office personnel, the government office, and field site personnel. The successful candidate will leverage past experience to further the development of the SSBN programs and ensure SSP’s support for non-stop execution of SWS work and test.

Requirements

  • Degree in related field from an ABET accredited institution or 4+ equivalent years of work experience.
  • Prior Navy SSBN experience.
  • Experience in production, construction, testing and alteration of the Strategic Weapon System.
  • Planning and scheduling integration activities for military systems.
  • Ability to support required travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate among multi-contractor teams.
  • Possess strong leadership, critical thinking, strategic planning and project planning, research and analysis capabilities.
  • Must have and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. citizenship required).

Nice To Haves

  • Shipyard SWS construction experience and SWS testing.
  • Experience with the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program and SSP, including its culture, practice, and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed knowledge, schedule integration and planning, configuration management, documentation management, meeting support, and advanced planning in support of the SSBN Columbia and Dreadnought program.
  • Leverage from past experience to further the development of the SSBN programs.
  • Facilitate meetings to include government and industry partners.
  • Coordinate documentation reviews amongst system contractor team members.
  • Complement the shipyard’s efforts in establishing a Missile Compartment SWS project team.
  • Enhance the continuous and robust deck-plate team focused entirely on ensuring SSP’s support for non-stop execution of SWS work and test.
  • Coordinate program schedules amongst government and industry partner teams.
  • Participate in and facilitate local team meetings coordinating day-to-day activities of SWS support personnel.
  • Anticipate and respond to evolving customer requirements and expectations.
