This position is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of key supplier improvement initiatives to identify, evaluate, and maintain a strategic supplier network. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • seven to ten years experience in supply chain management, supplier development or procurement or Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.

Responsibilities

  • Leads / coaches cross-functional teams on selected development projects to create a culture of value, quality, and total cost reduction.
  • Acts as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Partners with supplier and manufacturer leaders and internal team members to improve supplier capability.
  • Develops on-boarding processes for new suppliers and systematic tools to identify ‘at risk’ suppliers for selection development projects.
  • Develop and implement partner performance review procedures to communicate successes and address shortfalls.
  • Develops key processes outlining the purpose and direction of Supplier Development in order to coordinate efforts across various business units.
  • Performs assessments of supplier’s capability to meet organizational requirements and maintain sustainable performance including review of capacities.
  • Promotes strategic approaches in supplier selection and problem solving.
  • Works with suppliers to develop action plans to close gaps between current and expected performance.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
