About The Position
Strategic Sourcing Specialists are responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies, including analyzing market trends, identifying, qualifying, and recommending sources of supply. This role involves establishing and maintaining positive supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and negotiating terms for cost, schedule, quality, payment, and delivery. The specialist will interpret MRP/ERP reports to prioritize daily purchasing and process purchase orders. Professionalism in all company communications is expected.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred, work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management or procurement
- Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and production control, and planning processes
- Sourcing and negotiating experience
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must have legal status that enables you to work in the U.S. We cannot obtain sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationship with suppliers
- Monitor and track supplier performance
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure appropriate costs, schedule, quality, payment and delivery terms.
- Interpret MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities
- Process, review, validate, and distribute completed purchase orders
- Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications
