About The Position

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Strategic Supply Chain Manager. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and is responsible for coordinating and executing supply chain operational activities to hit cost out targets, manage all relevant government compliance requirements, facilitate supplier management, data analysis, and bid and proposal activities. Support supply chain activities across Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to ensure NA strategic direction is sustained, supplier performance is improved, and risk is mitigated.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supply chain or operations
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in qualification of manufacturing supply base & managing supplier performance across a large, diverse supply base.
  • Strong ERP and computer technology skills (Microsoft excel, Microsoft products etc.).
  • All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an overall understanding of the Eaton business including the 5YP (5 Year Plan), annual sales/margin/cash goals, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead SC Program Managers to drive cost reduction efforts to meet annual cost out goals, maintain quality and on time delivery from all suppliers, security of supply, and alignment with Eaton Aerospace supply chain strategy.
  • Active in managing delegated supplier relationships and performance management of all direct and indirect key suppliers utilizing QBRs, Scorecards, Supplier Improvement Plans, etc.
  • Support bid and proposal efforts across each IPT to identify material costs, risk and opportunities in the supply base, as well planning to support execution of bid in conjunction and collaboration with Eaton Aerospace supply chain strategy and stakeholders.
  • Continuously develop and maintain supply chain systems and procedures to support AS9100 compliance requirements and best practices in procurement that are aligned with Eaton Supply Chain Policies and Procedures.
  • Support DCMA requirements and drive Government compliance in procurement by staying relevant on regulations (FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR), implementing system changes as necessary, and supporting the Tactical Supply Chain team to maintain compliance in purchasing.
  • Maintain, develop, and delegate key supplier management data to support regular reporting as well as ad hoc analysis to support the business inclusive of delivery, quality, lead time, diversity, compliance data, approved supplier lists, etc.
  • Coordinate with Eaton Commodity Managers to secure a supply base that meets the organization’s quality, cost, diversity, and delivery targets.
  • Participate in supplier qualification process and coordinates with IPT stakeholders as necessary to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance across the supply base in conjunction and collaboration with Eaton Aerospace supply chain strategy and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions as needed to support best practice contracting in conjunction and collaboration with Eaton Aerospace supply chain strategy and stakeholders.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, hiring, and developing SC Program Managers and others in the supply chain function.
