About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to serve as the primary strategic sourcing lead for an assigned Sector. This role involves partnering with Sector leadership to identify, prioritize, and translate business demand into sourcing strategies that support programs and operational priorities, while aligning with enterprise sourcing strategies where applicable. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sector-level strategic partnerships that increase value, reduce risk, and support supply chain sustainability, where corporate enterprise strategies cannot be applied. Collaboration with enterprise-wide teams is crucial to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and leveraging economies of scale across sectors. The role also contributes to the development and refinement of enterprise-wide strategic supply chain strategies, ensuring consistent execution and scalability across sectors. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth market research and analysis in IT and technology markets relevant to resale and managed services for federal government customers, negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with federal procurement policies. The manager will be accountable for leading sector-level sourcing governance to maximize spend through strategic supplier and partner relationships, delivering sustainable realized value, cost savings, and cost avoidance. Driving continuous improvement initiatives in the sourcing process, leveraging data analytics and technology solutions, and managing supplier performance and developing risk mitigation strategies are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with a strong emphasis on business management, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably in the IT and technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of federal government operations, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of procurement software (Cost Point, Ivalua, etc.), data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a US citizen.

  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) to support automation, sourcing activities, market intelligence, supplier management, or procurement decision-making is preferred.
