About The Position

This role involves managing all aspects of procurement for DRAM and semiconductors, including pricing, supplier management, supply-base strategy, and market trend assessment. The position requires developing and implementing global commodity strategies in collaboration with various business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include leading contract and price negotiations, conducting competitive analysis, setting up 'should cost' studies, managing supplier performance, monitoring market trends, identifying and developing supplier relationships, and collaborating on New Product Introduction (NPI) procurement activities.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • At least 10+ years experience in sourcing, procurement and/or supply chain of semiconductors, including DRAM.
  • Experienced in supplier management, contract management, strategic sourcing process.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of DRAM types (DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR5/5X, HBM), speeds, density, and die shrinks.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and high-growth environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a global / matrix organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve organizational objectives, managing strategic projects and timelines efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate projects, drive initiatives, and resolve issues.
  • Create, lead, and implement global commodity strategies, including commodity communications, market updates, and strategy development.
  • Lead on contract & price negotiations, competitive analysis & should cost to reduce total cost of ownership and increase supplier value.
  • Identify, analyze, and address challenges and obstacles, often involving complex or highly technical issues.
  • Set up “should cost” study and lead negotiation with suppliers to achieve yearly cost reduction.
  • Establish, implement, and administer systems and processes to evaluate, monitor, report, and manage supplier performance and improvement (including QBRs).
  • Monitor commodity market trends, effectively reflect market dynamics in terms of supply, cost, etc.
  • Identify potential sources or suppliers in a business manner.
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to effectively manage NPI procurement related activities.
