About The Position

This role ensures assigned locations, business units, or proposed products and processes comply with various laws and regulations. The specialist develops and enforces compliance policies and procedures, acting as the primary compliance consultant and resource for questions, consulting, and training. They participate in the design and development of policies, procedures, processes, and training programs to ensure compliance. The position involves analyzing new and pending laws and regulations that affect company practices and working with affected areas to ensure appropriate compliance. The specialist may also be involved in various compliance projects and initiatives, such as information disclosure and legal proceedings, and performs periodic reviews to assess the level of regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight or more years of experience in regulatory compliance activities

Responsibilities

  • Ensures assigned locations, business units, or proposed products and processes are in compliance with various laws and regulations
  • Develops and enforces compliance policies and procedures
  • Acts as the primary compliance consultant/resource for assigned location, business units, or products with respect to questions, consulting, and training
  • Participates in, and ensures compliance in the design and development of policies, procedures, processes and training programs
  • Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations which directly affect company practices and works with affected areas to ensure appropriate compliance
  • May be involved in a variety of compliance projects and initiatives regarding information disclosure, legal proceedings, etc.
  • Performs periodic reviews to assess level of regulatory compliance
