About The Position

Join KBBH and Lead a Transformation That Will Shape Behavioral Healthcare for Years to Come. We're seeking a Strategic Project Manager to lead one of the most significant operational initiatives in our organization's history: the implementation of a new enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) system as part of a multi-year transformation effort. This position was created through technology funding provided by the Rural Health Transformation Grant and is funded through September 2027. The initial focus of the role will be leading the successful implementation of our new EHR platform. Importantly, this is not a temporary project position. As the implementation phase concludes, the role is expected to continue as a strategic leadership resource supporting organizational priorities identified within KBBH's long-range strategic plan. For the right candidate, this represents an opportunity to build lasting impact while helping shape the future direction of KBBH. This role offers a rare opportunity to influence the future of an organization while helping improve access to behavioral healthcare throughout Southern Oregon.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects using established project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable results.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority, build consensus, navigate competing interests, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Advanced written communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and impactful project documentation and executive communications.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and behavioral health service delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Experience preparing reports and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology, EHR, ERP, or operational transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation roadmap that keeps the project on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish strong project governance structures that support effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Build productive partnerships between leadership, vendors, clinical teams, operational departments, and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions before they impact outcomes.
  • Create confidence and engagement throughout the organization during a period of significant change.
  • Support training, communication, and readiness efforts that help employees successfully adopt new workflows and technology.
  • Foster alignment among teams with diverse priorities and perspectives.
  • Help leaders navigate change while maintaining focus on client care and operational excellence.
  • Maintain clear project documentation, reporting processes, milestone tracking, and decision logs.
  • Monitor grant requirements, project expenditures, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
  • Ensure project activities remain compliant, audit-ready, and appropriately documented.
  • Strengthen project management practices across the agency.
