About The Position

Proactively partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape and advance Corewell Health's strategic portfolio both system-wide and within specific operating units. Transform market, financial and operational insights into actionable recommendations, guiding decisions on where to grow, optimize or transform services. Build strong, trusted relationships across internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization. Responsibilities include developing strategic recommendations and business plans as well as conducting deep data analyses to support well-informed strategic choices. This role leads a significant body of work and works cross-functionally with multiple levels of the business to deliver agreed upon results in a timely manner prioritizing accuracy, collaboration and clarity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics or related field (or equivalent education and experience)
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Progressive experience in strategic planning and insights, market research, business analytics, strategic forecasting, or a related field.
  • Healthcare industry exposure

  • Master's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related field

Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic advisor to system leadership, leading or supporting the development and management of the system and market level strategic goals, and overall strategic portfolio.
  • Shape and steward the portfolio by identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, sequencing and balancing growth, consolidation and optimization opportunities.
  • Guide goal setting and strategic choice discussions.
  • Orchestrate alignment across stakeholders to sustain momentum from strategy to execution, strengthening the system’s strategic position.
  • Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships that advance both the organization and department’s position.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders – such as finance, analytics, marketing, operations, and clinical leaders – and key external partners.
  • Leverage robust data on program performance, market trends, and the broader healthcare landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative assessments to understand our positioning and anticipate shifts in the market, enabling Corewell Health to stay ahead of competitive and industry changes and continue to deliver innovative services that benefit our communities and enhance our strategic offerings.
  • Leverage market, financial and operational insights to develop actionable strategic recommendations at varying levels across Corewell.
  • Partner with organizational subject-matter experts to translate insights into clear recommendations on where to grow, optimize or transform.
  • Develop strategy, business plans and conduct deep data analyses with tailored recommendations.
  • Model and drive strong collaboration and cross-functional learning within the Strategy & Business Development department.
