  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing the annual Strategic Planning agenda, background information, and sessions to bring Executive Team and senior ministry representatives together (along with stakeholders) to determine strategic priorities and directions for the ministry. Summarizes and reports on the outcomes, including recommendations towards ensuring appropriate integration in planning documents.
  • Developing tools and processes with divisional and branch managers to support integration of strategies and efforts across the ministry and ensure alignment and reporting of performance results in accountability documents in a manner that will withstand scrutiny of the Office of the Auditor General.
  • Supporting preparation of the ministry submissions to the GOA Strategic Plan and Annual Report.
  • Providing consultation and expert advice to senior staff across all the divisions on how to best support environmental scanning capacity.
  • Representing the ministry, providing support, and participating in the annual GOA e-scanning process to stay appraised of the latest trends and activities that could impact the ministry.
  • Leading the development of the Enterprise Risk Management register within the ministry by coordinating a series of risk reviews with Executive Team and senior management.
  • Coordinating the inclusion of risk mitigation strategies into the ministry and operational plans and reporting on mitigating actions by working with the Divisional branch coordinators and representatives from across the ministry, including the Executive Directors.
