About The Position

The Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities (MSAC) is looking for a Financial Strategist and Investment professional to assist in the management of a diverse portfolio of Overhead, MA, Bid & Proposal and IRAD projects. This includes the internal and external management of a complex set of data and financial information. As a critical member of the team, this individual will work with leadership and portfolio leads to manage a >$250M overhead and investment portfolio. The ideal candidate for this role should have exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to effectively coordinate across diverse and distributed teams, and expertise in IRAD, BD and capture strategy, processes, tools and budget tracking. You should be a thought leader able to think critically and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with financial management and tools
  • Budget and spend tracking experience
  • Experience working across multi-functional organizations
  • Strong quantitative and analytics problem-solving skills, ability to manage insights across disparate datasets
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

  • Experience managing New Business Funds (IRAD & B&P, MA/OH)
  • Business development, IRAD and capture management experience
  • Knowledge of LRP cycle, Orders Planning and reporting cycles

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the yearly cycle and inputs into the Long Range Plan (LRP) and Strategic Planning Council (SPC)
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including Directors, Managers and portfolio leads across a multi-functional organization
  • Aid in transition and transformation tools and processes
  • Establishing initial budgets for the MSAC, to include, but not limited to, Overhead, MA, B&P, and IRAD
  • Collaborating with Finance & Business Operations (F&BO) on month end updates to budget and forecasts
  • Performing due diligence, in collaboration with F&BO on monthly actuals and EACs
  • Support business cases to enable strategic discussions for new or continuing investments
  • Supports and oversees internal business operations requirements to include but not limited to developing long-range financial sales/growth forecasts and preparing and maintaining annual portfolio allowable and unallowable business expenditures (including direct and indirect labor utilization)
