About The Position

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce. The Global Partnerships Sellside team partners with online publishers and app developers to grow their businesses using our portfolio of products including, AdMob, and Google Ad Manager. We offer a solutions-based approach across advertising and analytics to find new opportunities for our partners to better engage users and advertisers. Over a million partners rely on our solutions to grow their business, and we're proud to enable Google to be one of the foremost founders of digital content in the world. As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will be part of a fast-growing and entrepreneurial team within the Global Partnerships Sellside. You will work closely with some of the largest and most strategic apps developers and partners in the market. Additionally, you will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with Google's Product and Go-to-Market teams to ensure we build and deploy industry-leading solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with teammates to explore new solutions that meet the evolving needs of Google's partners. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with investigative tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase).
  • Experience with online advertising or ad business generation solutions (e.g., Google Ad Manager, AdSense, AdMob).
  • Experience managing mid-sized publishers with an understanding of publisher challenges.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline with the ability to exceed quota.
  • Knowledge of programmatic advertising space.
  • Ability to grasp technical product aspects and develop data-driven recommendations and action plans with excellent investigative and problem-solving skills .

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of large sellside mobile apps partners, helping them drive long-term sustainable revenue and customer satisfaction with Google's suite of display ad solutions.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with partners by becoming a trusted advisor, providing business and product expertise, and by providing exceptional customer support.
  • Keep customers up-to-date on various Google products, features and optimizations.
  • Identify business and product opportunities via data-driven analysis to expand Google's platform.
  • Work with a variety of teams at Google (e.g., Product, Technical Support, Marketing) to ensure your publisher partners have access to the resources they need to succeed.
