About The Position

This role is responsible for producing high-quality, actionable insights for teams across the British Red Cross. The Strategic Insight Lead will work with the Head of Strategic Insight & Analytics to inform the strategic direction of the organization, collaborating closely with Executive and Senior Leadership colleagues to ensure insight shapes decision-making. The role involves providing advice and guidance on complex issues to ensure organizational responses and offers are driven by unmet need and informed by robust and relevant insight. Additionally, the role provides specialist research support for other directorates and teams and drives internal and external engagement in the use of insight products for informed decision-making. The role also supports the development and implementation of organizational strategy by using strategic insight to identify priorities and measure success.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communications skills (written, spoken and visual), with the ability to translate complex evidence into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mixed-methods research and analysis design.
  • Practical knowledge of strategic foresight methods, with a focus on anticipatory planning and action.
  • Strong project and product management experience, with the ability to balance multiple projects/products over multiple timescales.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to think creatively and critically to generate novel insight and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Production of high-quality, actionable insights for teams across British Red Cross.
  • Work with Head of Strategic Insight & Analytics to inform the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership colleagues to ensure that insight is used to shape decision making.
  • Provide advice and guidance on complex issues to ensure organisational responses and offers are driven by unmet need and informed by robust and relevant insight.
  • Provide specialist research support for other directorates and teams.
  • Drive internal and external engagement in the use of insight products to make informed decisions.
  • Support the development and implementation of organisational strategy using strategic insight to identify priorities and measure success.
