SOTI helps businesses take mobility to endless possibilities. What You'll Do: Industry Advisor will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert for key industries and markets. In this role, you will provide industry expertise, market insights, and strategic guidance to customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders — and partner directly with account teams to win and grow strategic enterprise business.You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and executive leadership to identify market opportunities, influence go-to-market strategies, support customer engagements, and position SOTI as a trusted technology partner within targeted industries. This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario and operates within a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience within a relevant industry, technology organization, consulting environment, or strategic advisory role.
Deep knowledge and expertise within one or more target industries such as retail, transportation, logistics, healthcare, field services, manufacturing, telecommunications, public sector, or enterprise technology.
Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and helping organizations leverage technology to improve business outcomes.
Proven ability to conduct discovery sessions, assess business needs, and develop strategic recommendations.
Strong understanding of market trends, industry challenges, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with experience engaging senior business leaders and executives.
Strong consultative problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into practical business solutions.
Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps, executive presentations, and industry-focused recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build credibility as a trusted advisor.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, research, and market intelligence to drive decisions.
Experience creating customer-facing and internal enablement content, thought leadership materials, and best practices documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Experience working within enterprise software, SaaS, mobility, IoT, or digital transformation organizations.
Consulting, strategy, product management, or industry analyst experience.
Recognized expertise or thought leadership within a specific industry vertical.
Experience supporting sales organizations through strategic deal support and executive stakeholder engagement.
Experience speaking at industry conferences, customer forums, webinars, or executive events.
MBA or other advanced degree is considered an asset.
Additional language proficiency is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor and industry subject matter expert, providing guidance to customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams.
Partner with Account Executives and Sales Engineers on strategic enterprise pursuits — leading executive briefings, discovery, industry-specific value narratives, RFP and proof-of-value support, and business-case/ROI development that accelerate marquee deals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry practitioners, partners, analysts, and key stakeholders.
Identify emerging industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics, translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
Conduct customer discovery sessions, workshops, and strategic assessments to understand business challenges and identify solution opportunities.
Lead solution discussions and industry-focused engagements with customers and prospects
Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy teams to ensure market needs and industry insights are reflected in product direction and innovation.
Develop and support industry-focused sales plays and go-to-market strategies that drive pipeline growth and market expansion.
Enable sales teams through coaching, training, and opportunity support by applying industry knowledge, content, and best practices.
Create and maintain industry-specific knowledge assets, market intelligence, thought leadership content, and competitive analysis.
Proactively analyze industry trends, customer needs, and market developments, and present recommendations to business leaders.
Support marketing initiatives including conferences, webinars, executive briefings, customer events, case studies, and thought leadership programs.
Collaborate with Customer Success and Implementation teams to support solution adoption and value realization.
Document customer business challenges, proposed solutions, business outcomes, and return on investment opportunities.
Maintain market intelligence, opportunities, and strategic initiatives within company systems and reporting tools.
Support strategic projects and other initiatives as assigned.
