About The Position

K1 Industries is experiencing a surge in demand for power infrastructure, leading to multi-year lead times. We specialize in building and deploying modular power packages at scale. This is a critical role as the first finance hire, responsible for building and operating the company's financial systems. The position requires close collaboration with all internal teams and external partners, involving tasks such as closing the books and reviewing financial models with investors within the same day.

Requirements

3-7 years of finance experience in manufacturing, energy, capital markets, or heavy industry.
Deep curiosity and a bias for action.
Strong modeling skills complemented with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
Ability to understand the desired end state while continuously improving with pragmatic execution.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a startup or early-stage company.
Familiarity with equipment sales, service, and power contract structures and financing.
Experience standing up the finance stack at a company.
Investor-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the company financial model, unit economics, scenario analysis, and should-cost models.
Manage cash, internal reporting, and capital planning.
Implement and operate accounting processes, managing external partners as needed.
Drive quarterly and annual reporting.
Support fundraising efforts, including investor materials and diligence.
Develop and structure multiple sources of capital, including non-dilutive options.
