About The Position

As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will partner directly with sales, marketing, and product leadership to analyze and forecast key drivers of Zocdoc’s financial performance and support strategic decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic decision-making process of the company and play a key role in driving financial performance and growth. Zocdoc’s mission is to give power to the patient by building the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care in all 50 states, across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans. The company is 18 years old and a leader in its space, focused on solving important, complex problems alongside deeply thoughtful, driven, and collaborative teammates.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience in a highly analytical field, such as strategic finance, corporate finance, sales operations, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop insights
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
  • A strong academic record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL or business intelligence/data visualization platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Experience in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic finance and analytical support to Zocdoc’s business units through forecasting, reporting, modeling, financial analysis, and business case preparation, with a focus on supporting the health system business, an area critical to the U.S. healthcare system and Zocdoc’s long-term growth
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product leadership teams to prioritize strategic initiatives and direct investment decisions
  • Own financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against company forecasts/targets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing key findings and recommendations
  • Support preparation of materials for Zocdoc’s board and investors
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed to support strategic initiatives and business priorities, including evaluating partnership opportunities, customer acquisition and unit economic analyses
