About The Position

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team and report to the VP of Finance. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position that will touch nearly every corner of the business — from revenue modeling and budgeting to systems implementation and KPI reporting. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with a lean finance team that values intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a bias toward action. The candidate is required to have financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience. This role is ideally based out of our Tysons Corner, Virginia headquarters on a hybrid basis. We will consider strong remote candidates willing to travel periodically.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly applicable FP&A experience — corporate FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical roles
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills in Excel or equivalent; comfortable building models from the ground up
  • Proficiency developing clear, data-driven presentations in PowerPoint or similar tools
  • Solid business acumen: able to connect financial data to operational realities and strategic decisions
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with or exposure to FP&A and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, Rillet, Abacum); hands-on implementation or migration experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and how go-to-market data connects to financial planning
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or enterprise software company
  • Working knowledge of SaaS metrics and the economics of recurring revenue businesses
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools
  • Comfort working with data warehousing concepts and analytical database queries from a business user perspective (e.g., writing or interpreting SQL to pull and validate data)
  • MBA or CFA is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support the annual operating plan and budget process in close partnership with the CFO and functional leaders across the business
  • Contribute to multi-year financial models used for strategic planning and scenario analysis
  • Translate operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Track and report on the company’s financial and non-financial KPIs, helping refine frameworks that illuminate the key drivers of the business
  • Serve as a trusted analytical partner to Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product & Engineering, and other business functions
  • Help communicate business objectives and performance to internal stakeholders; support materials for investor and Board-level reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting to support efficient close processes and high-quality financial reporting
  • Play an active role in the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of finance systems and ERP tools
  • Design and automate FP&A processes to improve forecast accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency, reducing manual effort where possible
  • Help the team adopt best-of-breed approaches including AI-assisted workflows that elevate the quality and speed of our financial work
