Strategic Finance Associate

NexHealth
$106,100 - $166,100Remote

About The Position

NexHealth is seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to join their Finance team. This role is central to business strategy and growth decisions, partnering across all company functions to ensure resources are allocated effectively. The work involves financial planning, performance reporting, and strategic analysis to support NexHealth's ambitious growth in healthcare technology. The Associate will be a key contributor to capital allocation, strategic opportunity evaluation, and financial storytelling for internal and external stakeholders. This is a high-visibility position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants direct impact on company decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or a comparable high-rigor, fast-paced finance environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to own analytical projects end-to-end — from framing the question to delivering a clear recommendation — with minimal oversight.
  • A track record of partnering effectively with non-finance stakeholders — translating complex financial data into plain language that drives decision-making.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial planning tools, Excel/Google Sheets modeling, BI platforms and SQL or data querying tools.
  • A first-principles approach to problem-solving — you dig into root causes, challenge assumptions, and build durable solutions rather than patching symptoms.
  • Clear, structured communication skills — you can synthesize ambiguous information and present it confidently to executive audiences.
  • A high ownership orientation: you surface risks early, follow through without reminders, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just outputs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology company.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Exposure to SQL or data querying tools for self-serve financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and maintenance of financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across the business.
  • Partner with GTM leaders to analyze pipeline performance, quota attainment, and revenue trends — surfacing insights that inform go-to-market strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted finance business partner to Operations, helping translate operational drivers into financial outcomes and improving visibility into unit economics.
  • Build and maintain executive-level reporting and dashboards that give leadership a clear, accurate view of business performance.
  • Drive the monthly and quarterly close process from a finance perspective — identifying variances, investigating root causes, and communicating findings with clarity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting infrastructure, and analytical frameworks as the company scales.
  • Support M&A and fundraising processes end-to-end, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and preparation of investor-facing materials.

Benefits

  • Full Medical, Dental, and Vision (up to 100% covered)
  • 401K and commuter benefits
  • Flexible PTO
  • High-impact work that directly improves the healthcare experience for millions
  • stock options
  • unlimited paid time off policy
