About The Position

The Strategic Buyer develops purchasing strategies across commodities and executes them through contract negotiations and commercial activities. The role helps ensure supply chain competitiveness, compliance, and resilience while working with senior internal stakeholders to improve cost, quality, delivery, and performance. The position is hybrid, with three office days per week, and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Relocation assistance will be provided if applicable.

Requirements

• Associate degree with at least 4 years of purchasing or supply chain experience; or bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of purchasing or supply chain experience; or a master’s degree; or a JD/PhD; or at least 6 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and category management to drive improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Take a significant role in crafting commodity strategies.
• Build relationships with suppliers.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with company goals and delivering measurable value.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives and risk-mitigation plans to ensure commercial resilience.
• Collaborate across business functions to align procurement strategy with organizational priorities.
• Support ongoing process improvement and best-practice sharing across the global network.
