About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Strategic Buyer to support the sourcing of products and services across key telecom and indirect spend categories. In this role, you will participate in all phases of the sourcing lifecycle — from identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting competitive bid events to supplier selection, contract execution, and purchase order management. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless availability of products and services that support company objectives while helping drive cost efficiency and supplier performance. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing.
Experience supporting sourcing or procurement activities across telecom or indirect spend categories.
Demonstrated ability to assist with negotiating Vendor agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Purchase orders.
Familiarity with legal and commercial contract terms and conditions.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, IT, and Business unit stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to drive sourcing decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Exposure to supplier performance management and vendor scorecard processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience within the telecom, cable, or technology industry preferred.
Knowledge of sourcing tools, eProcurement platforms, and ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Support strategic sourcing initiatives and category management efforts across telecom and indirect spend categories.
Support the execution of enterprise strategic sourcing savings goals and assist with initiatives designed to achieve year-over-year cost reduction targets.
Utilize data analytics, industry benchmarking, and sourcing methodologies to assist in developing and executing sourcing and category strategies for assigned telecom and indirect spend categories.
Serve as a key participant in the end-to-end sourcing process, partnering with Legal, Finance, IT, and Business unit stakeholders to support category analysis, supplier selection, and contract execution.
Assist in supplier negotiations involving contracts and purchase orders to help maximize value and minimize business risk.
Monitor supplier performance and assist in maintaining supplier scorecards to track Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance metrics on a monthly basis.
Support supplier selection through structured RFx processes and help implement risk mitigation techniques to ensure continuity of supply.
Identify and communicate opportunities for improved Pricing, Contract terms, and Service levels through ongoing supplier relationship management.
Research industry trends, emerging telecom technologies, and supply market conditions to proactively identify risks and sourcing opportunities.
Assist with short-term and long-range planning through category management and sourcing processes aligned with company strategic business goals.
Support compliance with enterprise strategic sourcing policies and procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and operational efficiency within the sourcing function.
