About The Position

Strategic Business Architect, OB Solutions East The CA Strategic Business Architect will lead and drive new business initiatives for Fetal Monitoring. This key role will involve leveraging your expertise in healthcare, clinical workflows, and business development to craft innovative solutions that transform patient care. As a CA Strategic Business Architect, you will be at the forefront of driving integration into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and central surveillance in Obstetrics, ensuring our solutions are at the epicenter of the value proposition. Your role: This role will work closely with the Fetal Monitoring Zone Sales leaders and Fetal Monitoring Account Managers to lead strategic business initiatives by uncovering new opportunities, analyzing install base intelligence, and crafting strong value propositions supported by detailed business models. It requires a proactive approach to assessing market feasibility and shaping growth strategies that align with broader organizational goals. A core responsibility is partnering with local teams and Enterprise Account Executives to develop complex, customized solutions—particularly for IDNs—using advanced financial models such as Philips Capital and XaaS. The position demands an ability to balance opportunity and risk through rigorous evaluation of medium‑ to high‑stakes solution scenarios. To continuously improve solution development, the role drives efficiency‑focused initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert in fetal monitoring domains. Collaboration with marketing and the business unit is essential to ensure downstream product management aligns with customer needs and evolving market trends. Customer engagement is central to building and managing the business funnel in partnership with account teams. The role supports sales strategy development from prospecting through delivery, contributes to accurate forecasting for major opportunities, and advises decision makers on maximizing the value of their Philips solutions through innovation and effective implementation. Leadership in presales activities—such as presenting market trends, aligning solutions to customer requirements, performing competitive analysis, and promoting standardized, scalable solutions—is also key. These responsibilities position the role as a critical connector between customer needs, market dynamics, and Philips’ strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development for Fetal Monitoring.
  • Skills include contract management, business development, or sales in the healthcare industry
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com (SFDC) or similar CRM tools
  • Bachelor’s degree, required or Master’s preferred in a healthcare-related field or equivalent.
  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.

  • Technical skills with networking/HL7 preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clinicians and customers effectively.

Benefits

  • Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $165,750 to $234,000 annually, plus company fleet/car.
  • Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.
  • Target Earnings pay is only one component of the Philips Total Rewards compensation package, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
