About The Position

Evercore is seeking to hire a summer analyst for its Financial Institutions Group, with a specific focus on banks, within our advisory business to be based in Chicago, IL. The Financial Institutions Group is responsible for covering a broad range of corporate clients and financial sponsors across Banks, Specialty Finance and Wealth / Asset Management. The group has a highly successful track-record of advising on many notable transactions across deal types including company sales, acquisitions, mergers-of-equals, private placements, activism & raid defense assignments, joint ventures, among others. The Evercore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates with a representative experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a boutique environment and learn on the job. In addition, Summer Analysts must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard. Evercore provides a robust internal training program to get Summer Analysts ready to hit the desk and add value quickly. Evercore offers highly qualified Summer Analysts the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms, along with exposure to blue-chip clients, and the chance to be part of a rapidly growing, highly regarded firm.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029
  • Strong academic record coupled with diverse interests
  • Ability to think critically about a range of strategic issues impacting our clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge in investment banking and global markets
  • Interest in the Financial Institutions sector, with a focus on banks
  • Quantitative and analytical talents combined with effective communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character with a great work ethic
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients, with a focus on financial institutions
  • Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre-requisite
