About The Position

This role is part of Alcon's Project Management function, a team that ensures all regular and one-off projects are planned, organized, and executed effectively to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Strategic Advisor, QA Surgical Franchise is primarily responsible for leading strategic project management within the Alcon business unit to ensure cost-effective, high-quality execution in compliance with global standards at our Facility in Fort Worth, TX. Specifics include: Lead and coordinate strategic Quality programs across the Surgical Franchise, ensuring alignment of priorities, timelines, risks, resources, and deliverables across global functions and regions. Standardize and continuously improve Quality governance, project management tools, reporting processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency, consistency, and organizational effectiveness across both franchises. Support Franchise Quality Leadership in annual objective setting, strategic planning, prioritization, and execution tracking to ensure delivery of business, compliance, and quality objectives. Own governance and project management processes for key Quality initiatives, including remediation programs, monthly quality reviews with franchise and regional teams, quality system improvements, compliance projects, and cross-functional transformation efforts. Plan, coordinate, and host quarterly Franchise Quality Management Reviews (QMRs), including agenda development, metric compilation, executive briefing materials, meeting facilitation, action item management, and leadership follow-up. Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and status reports that provide visibility to Quality performance, program progress, emerging risks, key decisions, and organizational priorities. Support governance of Franchise-level Quality metrics and performance indicators, including complaint trends, CAPA performance, deviation/nonconformance trends, audit observations, inspection readiness, product quality trends, field actions, and other relevant Quality signals. Facilitate collaboration among Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial, and regional stakeholders to ensure effective execution of franchise and enterprise Quality objectives. Support identification, prioritization, and escalation of emerging Quality risks across the franchises, including potential patient/customer impact, compliance exposure, supply continuity concerns, or reputational risk. Facilitate cross-franchise alignment on shared Quality priorities, lessons learned, systemic risks, best practices, and opportunities for standardization or continuous improvement. Support preparation of executive-level Quality updates, including concise summaries for Quality Leadership Team, Franchise Leadership Team, and other senior governance forums. Provide thought partnership to Franchise Quality leadership by identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, improve meeting effectiveness, enhance metric visibility, and increase proactive Quality risk management. Liaison with regional quality teams on top issues impacting markets and regions Support of technology/product transfer projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 10 years of relevant experience
