About The Position

FEDITC is seeking a Strategic Action Planning Support to work at Lackland AFB, San Antonio TX. The candidate shall facilitate the development and staffing of contingency and steady state plans to include Strategic Action Planning, Contingency, Functional, Supporting, Program, Force Design, and /or Operations Planning. The contractor shall facilitate meetings (A006) (as required) for the 67 CW/CC, Command, and Wing staffs throughout the year to discuss and update these plans; Facilitation duties include planning meetings, leading planning activities, attending planning working groups, preparing planning documents, coordinating Task Management Tool, JIRA and/or Outlook taskers received via NIPRnet, SIPRnet, or JWICS (specific to Planning Support), providing an agenda and collaborating with members, identifying problem areas, developing courses of action, providing relevant information and suggestions, recording and disseminating meeting minutes, submitting, and maintaining documentation resulting from these meetings. All documents shall be saved IAW Government furnished format and uploaded in the appropriate electronic Government approved shared location. Additional specific tasks include the following to meet the standard of conducting quarterly metrics and lines of effort (LOE) review.

Requirements

  • A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).

Responsibilities

  • Assist government program managers by facilitating various long range planning initiatives and support all programming and planning requirements for the effective utilization of Air Reserve Component forces for Total Force Integration (TFI).
  • As required and/or directed by the 67 CW/CC or their designated representative, develop a Strategic Action Plan and viable options for Lines of Effort (LOE) for Commander’s approval by 1 Oct each year and facilitate the quarterly reporting of progress checks.
  • Participate in, facilitate, or lead planning working groups and compile products to include, but not limited to, planning documents, briefings, off/on-site planning sessions, agenda, cost analysis, and key after-actions planning documents to enable tracking of key open action items, LOEs, future planning within established Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and Total Force Integration support (TFI).
  • Ensure full coordination and staffing of various contingency and/or steady state planning documents and ensure the annual publication and distribution to 67 CW senior leaders (as applicable)
  • Maintain all applicable planning documents to ensure it can be refreshed/updated as mission changes, and adjust LOEs as directed or required within established POA&M.
  • Monitor and ensure coordination, staffing and timely resolution of planning related taskers and Requests for Support (RFS) received via NIPRnet, SIPRnet and JWICS and provide updates to 67 CW commanders and/or applicable wing staff directorates as directed or required within established POA&M.
  • Maintain situational awareness and collaborate with higher headquarters (16AF and ACC) on Planning Orders (PLANORDS) and Task Orders (TASKORDS), etc., that affect 67 CW missions, functions, and capabilities; collaborate with weapon system program managers and SMEs, identifying operational requirements and develop supporting plans as required, and be prepared to brief wing leadership on status.
