About The Position

TTI, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leading global distributor of electronic components, is seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager for its Aerospace/Defense sector. This remote position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with assigned strategic accounts to maximize sales and profitability. The role involves creating corporate strategies for these accounts, collaborating with sales branches, and positioning TTI as the preferred supplier. The company, headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, has over 100 locations worldwide and a history spanning over 50 years.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Possess or gain a thorough knowledge of company product lines, sales, purchasing, operations, and systems.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Respond tactfully and effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to write and present information to internal and external audiences.
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
  • Must possess valid state driver’s license, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies’ liability carrier.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and five to seven years’ experience in electronics distribution or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at a basic level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies for assigned accounts by identifying customer status, focus, and potential growth avenues, with success measured by increased sales/meeting sales objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate customer corporate-to-corporate reviews by interfacing with the customer and TTI management to arrange agenda/itinerary content for productive information exchange.
  • Create formal sales and marketing presentations using technical resources and corporate information for a consistent company message.
  • Assist the Vice President of Strategic Sales with the annual budgeting process by providing input and projections on forecasted costs and expenses.
  • Develop relationships with assigned accounts to gain knowledge of competitive intelligence and establish a "most favored" competitive positioning.
  • Initiate, expand, and renew product pricing agreements and achieve incremental profitability through negotiation of manufacturer's award of contract.
  • Maintain customer inventory and buying process information in the database for accurate trend analysis.
  • Review financial results and recommend adjustments to achieve growth and profit objectives.
  • Assist in the development and support of Strategic Programs (MRP1/AIM) to enhance TTI's position within assigned accounts.
  • Support TTI dedicated field operations through team involvement and coordination, ensuring quality work, seamless communication, and highest customer service.
  • Uphold TTI's mission and ethical business standards in every transaction.
  • Foster customer goodwill and relationship development by hosting customer visits and tours to corporate facilities.
  • Identify trends and potential concerns with assigned accounts and pursue resolution with appropriate personnel for quick issue resolution and proactive customer service.
  • Maintain market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends, and new concepts by reading industry periodicals, networking, attending update training events, and trade shows.
  • Participate in the TTI Total Quality Program by driving the importance of quality, ensuring adherence to defined processes, and identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
