A Day in the Life Accelerate growth and shape the future of Medtronic’s Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) market by cultivating high-impact partnerships with health systems and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). As Director, Strategic ASC Partnerships, you will be instrumental in driving ASC strategy, portfolio adoption, and expanding Medtronic’s footprint in this rapidly evolving site of service. This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require 25% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. Lead strategic engagement with health systems and IDNs to advance ASC initiatives and drive business results. Develop and execute innovative partnership strategies that fuel ASC expansion and Medtronic portfolio adoption. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executive stakeholders, aligning Medtronic offerings with system-wide goals. Collaborate cross-functionally with Enterprise Directors, operating units, field teams, and service partners to deliver integrated solutions supporting ASC growth and performance. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic direction and foster innovation. Develop and maintain senior/C-suite level relationships with strategic partners, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Drive execution of functional and sales strategy to accomplish corporate objectives and expand ASC market penetration. Advise Medtronic operating units on ASC site of service, acting as an internal resource and expert. Communicate regularly with internal sales teams and health system/ASC executives, conducting quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and presenting business opportunities. Influence across functions and businesses to negotiate, gain cooperation, and maximize impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience OR Advanced Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.
  • Proven experience engaging with executive and C-suite customers.
  • Deep understanding of both hospital and ASC site of service.
  • Broad sales experience and comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare market sector.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading and managing execution of processes, projects, and tactics for multiple products or portfolios.
  • Practical business development, negotiation, and influence management skills.
  • Knowledge of the alternative site space (ASC/OBLs).
  • Advanced skills within the sales discipline; experience in Medtronic Neurovascular and/or Cardiovascular operating units preferred.
