About The Position

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for overseeing our highest-priority customer relationship and managing large-scale wholesale and installer accounts. This role focuses on driving growth and long-term success with accounts representing $1M+ in total contract value. The Strategic Account Manager must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, strategic thinking, and the ability to strengthen partnerships with key clients to maximize revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention.

Requirements

  • The ability to build trusted relationships with people from all backgrounds and regions
  • Strategic thinking in identifying opportunities to grow account value, expand partnerships and increase customer loyalty with high-profile clients.
  • Self-control and professionalism in high stress situations when dealing with unsatisfied customers and providing impeccable customer service.
  • Motivation to achieve strategic growth objectives and performance metrics with minimal supervision.
  • A customer-first mindset that simplifies the complexities of the solar industry for key accounts.
  • 3+ years’ experience in account management, strategic sales, or customer success, preferably with B2B or wholesale accounts
  • Proven success in managing high-priority accounts
  • Strong background in business-to-business sales and relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of solar industry or demonstrated ability to master technical product portfolios
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Display strong analytical problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the technical aspects and components of our products, with the ability to communicate solutions clearly to high-value clients.
  • Function effectively in high-pressure sales and support environments while protecting company profitability and value.
  • Collaborate across departments and leadership teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of top-tier accounts.
  • Stay highly organized and composed when working with client contacts and customers with complex business objectives.
  • Maintain pricing structures & contractual agreements while balancing strategic negotiation demands.
  • Provide proactive account planning, forecasting, and reporting to leadership
